Sadly, this is the first and only portrait I’ll be able to do of Genesis. He’s no longer our pet… An unfortunate sequence of events in real life has caused us to no longer be his owner. 😦
We miss him dearly, but he is in a very nice home that he enjoys, where he will live a much better life than we can give him at the moment, so it’s really for the best even though it breaks my heart.
Well… I posted that last comment a few hours too soon. Turns out that we will be able to keep him after all. He’s coming home from the rescue place today! 🙂 We love you Genesis. You are such a good boy!
I’ll probably do more artwork of Genesis at some point in the future. Also, if you have a pet and want me to create a “pet portrait” contact me on entropiaforum, here or in some other way so I can give you my email address to send a photo of your pet that you want me to draw. I usually work from photos since pets move a lot. I also like to do my own photographing to get a good composition when possible. However, here on the internet, that’s not always possible. I want to start doing more of this stuff. Pets are people too, in some ways, and deserve portraits! 🙂
